We’ve never known a love like the love we had for Miami Horror’s music back in the heady electro era in 2010… so we’re stoked they’re coming back to Australian shores to dance and romance us all over again. Except this time we’re on the grenache, not goon!
Wine Type: Californian Chardonnay
Illumination, the 2010 debut album of Australia’s favourite psychedelic-dance pioneers Miami Horror, holds a special place in the hearts of many who cut their early-twenties teeth on electro in Australian clubs. Since then, the four-piece have toured the world multiple times over – including a stint at Coachella festival just last year.
They’ve been living for a while now in Los Angeles, where from a home studio they created 2015’s All Possible Futures, a sophomore album that showcased their move into a more eclectic music identity, a series of heartfelt, post-disco party jams, influenced by their Californian homebase’s musical heritage, and music from the 60s.
With All Possible Futures the boys re-cemented their position as innovators in the electronic music world once again – as special treat for Wine Machine goers they return for their first shows in ages in Australia (sans guitarist Aaron, who has left to focus on a solo project) – and are excited to re-unite with their Australian fans and share favourites from Illumination, All Possible Futures, as well as some new material.
